Joas + Tabitha | Engaged

Joas + Tabitha | The Proposal

Ok so a little backstory first..
Joas and Tabitha live in Ohio. Tabitha's best friend Nora lives in Sarasota and helped Joas come up with the perfect proposal plan. Tabitha was visiting Nora on vacation and had no idea that Joas was going to be here too and surprise her.. and even better, propose! So Nora and I set up a little "best friends" shoot to throw Tabitha off. We did a few shots of them on the beach together and then made our way to the lifeguard stand where Joas was hiding. He came out and completely surprised her and got down on one knee- and she said yes! It was such a blessing to be a part of one of the most exciting days of their lives.
The next day we did an actual engagement session and I'll share that soon!

Josh + Nicole | Engaged

I have a love/hate relationship with surprises. My husband always says he will never be able to fully surprise me because I have a way of just knowing something is going on. It's true. On the other hand, keeping secrets & surprises is one of the hardest things for me. When I know something, (especially something really exciting!) it takes everything in me not to blurt it out and ruin a perfectly good surprise. All this to say.. Nicole booked a shoot for her and Josh's two year anniversary. I was already looking forward to it when Josh texted me and said he was planning on proposing the same day, so the shoot would actually be their ENGAGEMENTS! He asked me to be there and capture him on one knee, and then we would go to the shoot that we had planned. Nicole said "yes!" and it was a very exciting evening for them! Congratulations Josh + Nicole!

Benji + Angela | Engaged

I am so excited to share this beautiful engagement session! Benji and Angela are really good friends of ours and I LOVE that they fell in love! What's better than two of your friends getting married?! Corey and I spent a weekend in St. Augustine with them last month and did their engagement shoot while exploring the city and seeing their venue (which is absolutely amazing- can't wait until their wedding!). On the evening we had planned to shoot, it was storming pretty hard, but when that passed through we ended up doing a few photos in the moody-after-storm light. The next morning was beautiful and sunny so we did part 2! Look out for their wedding coming later this year! Yay!

Chris + Sarah

These two make me so happy! Sarah is a talented photographer in Minnesota and while her and Chris were in Florida, we did a fun little shoot! They braved our summer heat and I'm thrilled with what we came up with. How cute are they!?
